Your Tax Dollars Working For You

Just So You Know

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting one of Senator Mike DeWine’s (R-OH) female staffers maintained a blog chronicling her sexual adventures in Washington.  The blog has apparently been removed by its host site, but wonkette has the archive.  The interesting part isn’t that this staffer had sex, at times with senior officials.  The interesting part is that at least one of these senior officials paid for it.  Like with cash.  Peeled off a big wad.

I’ll spare you all the obvious remarks about Washington whores, screwing the people, and the other metaphors that exist wherever sex and power meet.  What is remarkable is that the men who expressed an emotion to this woman were “douches”, but the ones who paid her cash to nail her in the ass were somehow more tolerable.

  1. At least we only paid her 25k/year.

  2. Ugh. I feel dirty now having read that.

  3. I thought she had a great sense of humor.  Very funny stuff.

She’s probably moving from the public service sector to the private service sector so professional discretion will mean no more blogging.

  4. GP,
I found her humorous too, but in a dark and hopeless kind of way.  And I should add that I am in no way against whores, whether the free variety or the professional kind.

I just was tying to understand how being paid for sex acts, right down to peeling $100s off a wad on the way out the door, wasn’t so onerous as when lame guys tell her they miss her.

Now I wonder how long it will be before someone accuses Bush of forcing this girl to prostitution because she was underpaid in her staff job.

  5. Her blog was called Washingtonienne.

Try http://www.washingtonienne.com—some folks are too clever.

  6. I’m with GL on this one. Sex for money is okay, whatever, but the “douche” stuff is kind of twisted.

Well, to paraphrase Sam Elliot’s character from the Big Lebowski,

“Now this story I’m about to unfold
took place back in the early Oughts--
just about the time of our conflict
    with Sad’m and the Eye-rackies.  I
only mention it ‘cause some- times
    there’s a woman--I won’t say a hee-ro,
    ‘cause what’s a hee-ro?--but sometimes
there’s a woman, and I’m talkin’ about the Douche here-- sometimes there’s a woman who, wal, she’s the woman for her time’n place, she fits right in there--and that’s the Douche.”

  7. My favorite quote: Getting involved in a new relationship really just means ruining your nightlife. I resolve not to let this happen to me: I got bored and restless in my last relationship, and look what happened. Call it Madame Bovary Syndrome. Going out and getting trashed at least three times a week is the only cure.

Getting trashed at least three times a week is fantastic advice. I’ve already done it twice this week, I’m gaming for #3 when I meet my sister and her fiance this weekend.

Seriously, I wouldn’t want to work on the Hill. They all sleep with each other. It’s all about the office incest. fuck, the two Hill staffer roommates I had were getting it on at one point. They didn’t think I knew because all of it took place before I moved in, but I knew it as soon as they told me they worked on the Hill that they had fcuked.

I thought she was pretty funny. And truthfully, It’s sad she’s only making $25K a year as an admin assistant. You can make closer to $30K and still sleep around the office if you work in the private sector. The one girl roommate who was a Staff A$$ worked a side job as a waitress. fuck, I make decent money and still have a hard time making rent because of student loans.  Having a sugar daddy is awfully tempting when you make peanuts…
